Greatidude is an independent, self-funded civic technology project. This page documents our funding, independence policy, data methodology, correction procedure, and formal complaint process.

Funding model Self-funded. No external investors, no party donations, no government grants as of April 2026.

Political affiliation None. The project founders and editorial team hold no positions in any political party or government body.

Commercial relationships None that could influence coverage. If this changes, it will be disclosed here within 30 days.

Data sources Public government portals only — PRS India, ECI Affidavit Portal, MPLADS, TN Vidhan Sabha. No private or party-provided data is used.

Equal Application

The same formula, thresholds, and data sources are applied to all politicians regardless of party, position, or current media prominence.

Two-Reviewer Rule

Any manually-curated flag (e.g., Dark Horse) or editorial override requires sign-off from two reviewers on separate occasions before publication.

Source-Only Decisions

Promise status changes (PENDING → FULFILLED / BROKEN) require a linked, publicly-accessible external source. Reviewer opinion alone is insufficient.

Missing Data Default

When data is unavailable for a metric, the component defaults to 50 (neutral). No politician is penalised for data unavailability.

If you believe any data point on this site is incorrect, you can submit a formal correction request. We respond within 14 days.

Send your correction

Email [email protected] with: the politician name, the specific data point you believe is wrong, and a link to a public authoritative source that contradicts it.

We verify

Two editorial reviewers independently check your submitted source against the existing data. We do not accept party press releases or social media posts as primary sources.

Decision and response

We will notify you of our decision within 14 days. If the correction is confirmed, the data is updated and logged in the public correction log below.

What we do not accept: vague claims without source links, requests to remove accurate data, requests made on behalf of politicians or their offices that cite political sensitivity rather than factual error.
