Edappadi K. Palaniswami (born February 9, 1953) is AIADMK general secretary and was Tamil Nadu Chief Minister from February 2017 to May 2021. He represents Edappadi constituency in Salem district. After AIADMK's 2026 election loss (down from 66 seats in 2021), EPS remains party leader facing the dual challenge of the EPS–OPS split aftermath and TVK's dominance of the anti-DMK political space.
